1. Start A Blog

One of the easiest ways to make money at 17 without a job is by starting a blog. Starting a blog is very easy and anyone can do it! The best part about starting your own blog is it can become a great source of passive income.

A blog can be a great way to share your knowledge and how you do things with others. For example, if you love cooking you could start a food blog. You could talk about how you make some of the best dishes or maybe give some recipes!

The more articles on your site that get published the more traffic your site gets. The more traffic your site gets, the more money you can make. You can write about anything as long as it’s interesting and relevant.

There are many different blogging sites such as Blogger or WordPress that allow anyone with an email address to create a blog. However, you do need to host your blog.

There are many hosting sites that will provide you with a space to host your blog, but I recommend Bluehost if you’re just getting started because you can get web hosting for just $2.95/month.

You can make money from your blog by selling ads, becoming an affiliate for a product, or selling your own products.

2. Invest Your Money

A great way to make money without a job is to invest in the stock market. You can start investing in the stock market as early as you want, but you need to have a custodial account with someone who is 18 or older.

If you’re new to investing and don’t know what stocks to pick, I recommend using a robo-advisor. A robo-advisor is an online automated advisor that will invest your money for you based on your specific needs using computer algorithms.

A great option to use if you’re just getting started is Acorns. I like Acorns because it will choose the best investment for you based on your financial objectives and they provide custodial accounts. When you invest your money, you make your money work hard for you.

3. Sell Ads On Your Website

If you have enough traffic to your website companies are willing to pay you to display ad banners on your website. When someone clicks on your ad banner you earn money. The more traffic you have the more money you can make

You can sign up with a company to take care of your display ads or sell ads directly to advertisers yourself. But it’s much easier if you sign up with an ads network where they place the banners and manage all of the transactions for you.

For example, you could use ad networks such as Google Adsense or Ezoic. I personally use and recommend Ezoic for anyone who wants to make money from their website. I prefer Ezoic over Google Adsense because they pay you more for the traffic that comes to your website. But keep in mind, Ezoic requires that you have a specific amount of traffic to your website before they will accept you.

4. Become An Affiliate

You can sign up with a company to become an affiliate for their products. For example, if you like to play Minecraft, how cool would it be to get paid for telling your friends how awesome the game is! When someone buys something through your affiliate link you will receive a commission on every purchase they make.

There are many companies that offer affiliate opportunities so there’s no limit to what kind of products you can promote. You can sign up directly with companies to become an affiliate or you can join an affiliate network.

It’s much easier to join an affiliate network because there are tons of companies to sign up with and the affiliate network will manage all of the transactions for you to make sure you get paid! I recommend using affiliate networks such as Commission Junction or ClickBank because their services are free and easy to use. Just make sure the company doesn’t have an age requirement.

5. Sell Your Own Products On Your Website

If you have a blog or website that has a lot of traffic you could make money from the hundreds or thousands of visitors! You don’t need anything fancy to create an online store either. There are many free eCommerce platforms that you can use to sell products on your website.

For example, you can sell physical products, printables, an e-book, or even a service. You can sell almost anything online as long as you have the traffic to support it!

6. Monetize Your Social Media Accounts

Another way to make money at 17 without having a job is through your social media accounts such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok. If you have a large following you can make extra money from all of the people who follow and like your social media posts!

8. Create A Membership Website

If you want to start something super awesome how about creating a membership website where users pay monthly or yearly for access to premium content. This can be anything from how-to guides, ebooks, videos, etc. All you have to do is create something people want.

9. Write A Sponsored Post On Your Website

If you have a blog you could get paid for writing about what you already love! Some bloggers are paid to write sponsored posts on their website about products they like. There are many opportunities for how you can go about writing a blog post that will contain some type of advertising or sponsorship.

For example, it can be as simple as an article on your website about clothes you got for Christmas, and the company that designs the clothes could pay you to write about all the things you love about their product.

The reason why the designer would pay you for a sponsored post is because you’re giving them an opportunity to get more exposure to their target audience. If you like their clothes, most likely your readers will also like their clothes.

The more traffic you have or the bigger your following, the more money you can make from sponsored posts.

10. Write A Review On Social Media
